2024-09-26 - Exciting News: Appeal Date Confirmed, Canadian Independent Feature, and More!
Good morning!
Since my last update, a lot has happened that I’m eager to share with you. Your ongoing support has been incredible, and together, we’re making significant progress in our fight for justice!
1. Latest on My Federal Court of Appeal Case
Save The Date! Federal Court of Appeal Hearing
I’m thrilled to confirm that the hearing date for my Federal Court of Appeal case, Givogue v. Attorney General of Canada (A-237-23), is scheduled for October 10, 2024, at 9:30 AM. This case could set a national precedent on how genetic characteristics and perceived disability are treated in Canadian workplaces under COVID-19 policies. The outcome of this case isn’t just about me; it’s about all of us and our rights in the face of discrimination and overreach. For more information, you can check out the press release.
I’d love for you to join me as an observer virtually via Zoom: Join the Hearing or in person at the Federal Court of Appeal at 90 Sparks Street, Ottawa, Ontario K1A 0H9. Seating in person is limited to 25.
Just being there virtually means the world to me, and I’d love to see some familiar faces as we bring these crucial issues to the court’s attention.
