From Courtrooms to On-Screen Action Warehouse Brawls: Filming “The Sticky” and On-Set Adventures
A Fun Detour in My Fight for Justice - Not My Usual Content, But Totally Worth It!
I don’t usually share posts like this, but I just couldn’t resist! I recently watched the new show “The Sticky”, which premiered on Amazon Prime on December 6, 2024, and it brought back so many amazing memories.
Why? Because I had the incredible opportunity to double the main character, Remy Bouchard (played by Guillaume Cyr) in Season 1, Episode 6 (“Apex”).
My scene took place in the maple syrup warehouse during a brief scuffle in front of a milk tanker. Filming this back on May 9, 2023, was such an exciting experience, and seeing it all come together now on-screen is surreal.
When I was on set, there was talk of the series being released at the end of 2024, but life got busy, and I’d completely forgotten about it until a couple of weeks ago when I started seeing trailers pop up. It reignited that spark of excitement to watch how the story was brought to life and how all the hard work behind the scenes turned into this comedy-drama show.
Working on “The Sticky” wasn’t just an awesome career highlight; it also brought back some very nostalgic memories. The filming location, right next to the military base “La Méga” in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, was where I graduated from military basic training at the Canadian Forces Leadership and Recruiting School in 2000. Being back in that area over 20 years later was a unique experience—it reminded me of my boot camp days and how far life has taken me since then.
The series itself is an absolute must-watch. If you’re into comedy, drama, crime, and suspense, this show offers the perfect mix of emotions to keep you hooked. It’s fun, intriguing, and full of twists that leave you wanting more.
Featuring an incredible cast, including Margo Martindale, Guillaume Cyr, Chris Diamantopoulos, Jamie Lee Curtis, and many more, the show delivers in every way. I’m so proud to have been part of it and incredibly grateful for the opportunity to work alongside such talented people.
